How to create Campaign Packages

The below describes what the client will need to do when setting up campaign packages. Configuring packages is something that account owners and admins are able to perform.

Note, that if you are currently on a Smartfeed it is possible to add Google Responsive Display Ads to the budget split. In order to achieve this, please contact Flow who will put you in touch with a relevant Customer Success manager. Updates will be rolled out in the future which will enable Google Responsive Display Ads across all integration types, with the ability for publishers to edit these in the Campaign Packages section instead of needing to contact Flow.

  1. Navigate to the Campaign Packages section of the left-hand navigation menu of the Flow Console. This will by default open the "Advertising" page of this section, which is where one can add packages.

This page shows all existing packages - this would be blank if it is your first time integrating with Flow.

  1. Click on "Add Package" in the top right corner, which will bring up a window for adding a Campaign Package.

The window shows in red which fields are required. The other options are optional.

  1. Fill out the relevant information. As this is done, you will notice that the "Package Preview" on the right will start populating. There are some other customisable options that need to be configured, and it is also possible to upload your own image for the package. Allow custom budget: this allows the user to override the pre-configured budget before checking-out and publishing their campaign. Mark as popular: if you want to direct agents to that package. This will add a popular banner to the package. Promoted content: this needs to be selected so that the ad type promotes either the featured product, or a broker/brand/branch.

Tip: for the description it is useful to know here what the purpose/objective of the campaign is.

  1. The next step is to define what channels the package will advertise on, and configure each of the channels. You can define multiple channels here, for example Meta and Google, and specify the budget split across the channels. Note, that it is required to already have your Channel configured to the Console in order to perform this step.

Click on the "Add Channel" button, this will bring up all currently configured channels.

  1. Now you select what ad template type should be configured in the package. Select any of the options. Once you have selected an option, here "Single Image" was selected, the option to specify an ad creative will appear below. This is particularly useful for Enterprises that have set up Custom Ad Templates with Flow. If you do not specify an ad template, the user will be presented with a template gallery where they can choose their template.

By toggling on "Specify a template", all template options will appear below. If this is not configured, the ad creative will be chosen by the agent in the Adbuilding step of Campaign Creation.

  1. Next is adding the target audience to the package. There are two ways to proceed here. On the dropdown marked with the orange arrow below, one either needs to add a new audience (default option), or one can select any existing audiences in the same dropdown if they have been added already. Adding a new audience will be the most likely option for clients integrating with Flow for the first time. Here it will be necessary to provide several fields, with the option of linking a pixel if you have one. Note, that it is necessary to add campaign objectives here, for more information on these go here.

Fill out as much information as possible when adding a new audience.

  1. Once the audience is configured the next step is to split the budget across the selected channels. Note, that in this example only Meta was selected, therefore the split is 100%.

Here it is also possible to edit/remove channels if needed. Ensure that across channels the budget % equals to 100%.

  1. Once complete, click "Done" in the bottom right hand corner of the window.
